Australian readers quietly pay more.
We noticed, and we got tired of it.
Publishers set Australian prices separately and change them without warning. Mick Herron’s Clown Town was $15.99 in May, $4.99 on 3 June and back to $15.99 on 28 June. On 17 September it fell to $6.99 on Google Play and Apple Books.
You’d have to check every title, every store, every day to catch a drop. Nobody’s doing that. So you pay full price, or you don’t buy at all.
